ARTIST STATEMENT

Dreams, memories, music, or even a colorful tropical bird serve as endless inspiration when I am painting. This is a time when nothing else exists and my art unfolds from my subconscious. Images and feelings emerge from beneath the surface, and I rely on my senses more than my thoughts to create my art. My main objective is to capture and convey to my audience the unrestrained expression and feeling that abstract art enables. I hope that my creations will stir something within you; touching your heart, mind, and soul.-Jan Erlich
